There is a more individualized observation that gives the child more freedom and less attachment to schemes, and of course - there are families, whether children or parents, for whom the consequences of miscarriages never go away.
A number of questions and answers are presented herewith in order to help and give an initial answer on the subject.

When does labor end? (show)

Until when is it time for me to breastfeed? (show)
A full-time employee who returns to her job after the (paid) maternity leave will be entitled to one less working hour on a normal work day, for breastfeeding purposes, up to 4 months after the end of the paid maternity leave.
An employee who went on unpaid maternity leave following the paid maternity leave will receive breastfeeding time if she returns at the end of the four months after the maternity leave, and this until the end of the four months.
An employee who returned to her job after the end of these 4 months will not be entitled to breastfeeding time

Are we entitled to preventive treatment against the RSV virus? (show)
The RSV virus, also called the "premature virus" is active in Israel between the months of November and April. During these months, the following premature babies receive preventive care once a month:

1. Premature babies born under 31+6 weeks of birth and whose age on the first of November does not exceed one year.
2. Premature babies defined as BPD and whose age on the first of November does not exceed one year.
3. Premature babies who need to be given oxygen at home and whose age on the first of November does not exceed two years.
4. Premature babies born under a birth weight of 1 kg and whose age on the first of November does not exceed one year.
5. Newborns with certain heart problems.
   The HMO is responsible for providing routine treatments, except for the initial treatment provided at the time of discharge (if the discharge is in season), then it is the responsibility of the hospital.

Until when can we vaccinate against rota? (show)
The rota virus vaccine is limited to the newborn age and therefore parents of premature infants sometimes miss the opportunity to vaccinate their child with it due to the burden of treatments, tests and events.
We recommend that you contact your HMO branch after discharge to find out until when you can receive the vaccine at your HMO (there are two types of vaccines and the Ministry of Health sometimes changes the treatment definitions).

Are we entitled to a child development referral? (show)
Any premature baby born under a weight of one and a half kilos is automatically entitled to a referral to the Child Development Center (Medicine Administration circular).
If your personal doctor or Tipat Halav nurse did not refer you - go directly to the cash register and ask for a referral. Link to the PDF of the circular It is very important to know what your child's development center contains, because a "real" child's development center contains a variety of options, including speech therapists, psychologists, physical therapists, and more.
There are cases in which developmental monitoring is confused with medical monitoring, and care must be taken for both if necessary.
In addition to the automatic referral, there is an unequivocal directive to give priority to premature babies in queues at child development centers. Due to the long queues, a directive was recently issued that calculates customs duty.
The appointment for the various inquiries and allows a refund for a private inquiry after a pre-allocated waiting time.

What should I know about syllable testing? (show)
The syllable test (also known as the ABR test) is a brainstem conduction test for sound stimuli.
The test must be performed when the child is asleep. Two important things you should know are:

1. There are places that put the child to sleep with an anesthetic but there are also places that wait for the child to fall asleep naturally.
   Each of them has advantages and disadvantages, but it is important to know about the options before you before performing the test.
2. It is of great importance during the examination for fluid deposits in the ear, dong, etc.

Is infection with RSV a vaccine for continuation? (show)
There are two strains of the virus, one more common and one less common. Infection with one does not immunize against the other, but since most infections are of one type, the child will be vaccinated against the aforementioned main type.
Therefore the answer is no - infection with a virus does not completely immunize, but the answer is also "yes" - infection with a virus immunizes against the majority, or the main thing.

We are flying abroad with our premature children who have passed the age of eligibility for a crib, but physically and developmentally still need it and cannot sit for an entire flight. What to do? (show)
The "Arkia" company answered our inquiry on the subject and decided to expand the rights of parents of premature babies to cribs up to a weight of 9 kg.
The other Israeli companies have not yet responded to our inquiry on the subject.

What about the monitor? How do you raise a child without him? (show)
This is a very typical question for parents of premature babies.
After getting used to and attached to monitor devices, most parents feel a certain pressure to raise the child who is not connected to monitors.
Apart from cases where the child was released with a clear instruction to rent a monitor (see the chapter on renting equipment), there is no need for a complex monitor, and what is true for all children is also true for premature babies.
Despite all this and due to the understanding of the mental state of the parents, we definitely recommend the use of a home monitor of the type used by all Israeli children.
