The site is hosted and managed by the Lahav Association \u2013 for the Premature Infants in Israel,

The Lahav Association is the only association operating in the field of premature babies (and newborns) in the entire country.<\/p>\r\n

The Association for Premature Infants in Israel (A.R.) is a nationwide association established by parents of premature infants to promote and improve the situation of premature infants in Israel, their families, and premature infants in Israel, and to reduce the number of premature infants born each year and increase awareness of the dangers of premature infants.<\/p>\r\n

The association's vision<\/strong> \u2013 Achieving continuous improvement in the quality of care for premature babies in order to reduce the long-term consequences of prematurity on the lives of children and families later in life.
The association's goals <\/strong>\u2013 The association aims to improve, support and advance the care package for the premature baby and his family at any time (prenatal, prematurity, community, loss) and in any need. This is done through Lahav's unique response:
<\/strong>Building and sharing unique knowledge that we have accumulated over 19 years of activity with parents and those caring for premature babies at all stages of life. Production and distribution of information brochures for parents of premature babies during hospitalization and prior to discharge.
<\/strong>Raising awareness \u2013 among parents and authorities of risk factors and rights: pregnancy monitoring, pumping breast milk and eligibility for a breast milk bank to prevent life-threatening illnesses, vaccinations for the "premature infant virus" (RSV), and more. Raising awareness and making information available about the problems of preterm infants and the plight of preterm infants in Israel, including producing events for Premature Infant Day and Awareness Month each year.
<\/strong>Promoting legislation related to the rights and well-being of premature infants, their parents, staff, and premature infants, as well as membership in advisory committees - the Breast Milk Bank Advisory Committee, the Developmental Supportive Care Committee, the Advisory Committee for Allocating More Budgets to Premature Infants, the Neonatologists Association
<\/strong>Support and assistance for the well-being of premature babies and their families \u2013 operating a website, support groups in various media, a hotline active 24\/7 to answer questions and needs of parents and families, as well as assistance with institutional factors, exercising rights and dealing with individual problems.
