Furthermore, many of them are in financial distress, both due to the many expenses surrounding the premature baby&#039;s hospitalization (buying food in the hospital cafeteria, high parking expenses, travel expenses, etc.), both due to the fact that the mother of the family is often forced to quit her job and care for the newborn, and due to the high costs of products adapted for premature babies, which many families are forced to purchase:<\/p><ul><li>Clothing suitable for babies who weigh only about 2 kg when released from the womb<\/li><li>Medical devices and adapted breastfeeding equipment<\/li><li>Adapted bottles and pacifiers<\/li><li>Premature formula which is more expensive and never has sales, and more<\/li><\/ul><p>Many families have difficulty coping with this financial burden and fall into a bleak and painful reality, in which they cannot always provide the premature baby and other family members with minimal financial conditions for proper health and mental development.<\/p><p>Currently, the Lahav Association does not assist families with financial assistance, but designated donations of prepaid cards\/purchase cards will allow us to assist families in this area as well.<\/p><p><strong>**In 2021 we were able to help 50 families thanks to a donation from the Friendship Fund**<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>**In 2021, we distributed hundreds of packs of Pampers diapers for premature babies (size 0) thanks to a donation from Procter &amp;
