Reviews

"This is the best book I have ever read for parents of premature babies. The book is accurate, up-to-date, and includes the answers to most of the questions I have ever been asked..."

Jerold F. Lucey, MD, Editor Emeritus, Pediatrics

"This second edition of the book "Premature Babies" is an essential reading book for parents of premature babies."

Peter AM Auld, MD, Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics, Weill Cornell Medical College, New York

"The book "Preemies" is an extraordinary book. The authors of the book, who are mothers and a doctor, have written a comprehensive guide that expresses the feelings and concerns of parents in an easy-to-read, question-and-answer format... The book adopts an affirming and calming tone when dealing with the disappointments, sadness, joy, and roller coaster ride that many parents of premature babies experience. I cannot think of a topic that the book did not address. This book is up-to-date and is a comprehensive counseling tool that is suitable for both parents and medical professionals. I learned a lot from the book and I highly recommend it."

Saroj Saigal, MD, Professor Emerita, Department of Pediatrics, Director, Neonatal Follow-up Clinic, McMaster University, Ontario

"Complex medical and psychological information written in a reassuring tone for parents dealing with the difficulties of premature birth and caring for a premature baby. The book is the result of the comprehensive and collaborative work of a preterm infant physician and two mothers with extensive experience in the field of premature babies... will make you more understanding parents in the intensive care unit and beyond."
