Rumi Shouri will never forget the helplessness she felt when the doctors told her that her daughter Lia, a premature baby who weighed less than a packet of sugar, desperately needed breast milk, and she had none to give. For Ira Davydov, donating breast milk was the only option for feeding her two daughters, and she had to obtain the essential liquid for them underground. The first national breast milk bank that will be established soon in Israel is supposed to solve the plight of babies and parents like Rumi and Ira and finally connect women who want to donate excess milk to those who need it so much, under medical supervision and in a regulated manner.
