The project of the Lahav Association – equipping and renovating preemies
In recent years, many resources have been invested in improving the difficult situation of premature babies in Israel, but the necessary goals have not yet been achieved. In Israel, there are 27 premature babies scattered in various hospitals across the country.
It goes without saying that proper infrastructure in premature infants is important for the health and proper development of premature infants and for the well-being of their families.
Many premature baby homes across the country have a severe shortage of basic equipment such as breast pumps, nursing chairs, clothes, pacifiers, etc. Furthermore, many premature baby homes require immediate renovation and improvement of the appearance of the premature baby home/pumping rooms/parents' rooms.
We at the Lahav Association – for the Premature Infants in Israel are committed to helping premature infants in this important issue as well.
After a thorough examination of premature babies across the country, it appears that there are significant shortages and needs for the following equipment:
- Nursing chairs
- Chairs for parents
- Equipment for master bedrooms such as: Tami 4, refrigerator, seating areas, microwave
- Color and improving the appearance of master bedrooms
- Breast pumps
- Clothes adapted for premature babies
- Bulkheads
We would appreciate donations of equipment or financial contributions to assist with this project!
**In 2020, we donated 13 Symphony breast pumps to benefit breastfeeding mothers thanks to a donation from the National Insurance Fund**
